Capturing problems!!!!

I need some help with capturing. Everything was working fine until about 2 weeks ago. I have 30 minutes of video on my Canon xha1, the capture window is up for the entire 30 minutes, but when I look at the footage in the viewer it only recorded +or- 6minutes of footage. I have a Mac Pro, plenty of hard drive space. If anyone has any insight to this I would appreciate your help thanks.

Maybe you captured it wrong? What frame rate are you shooting at?

Do you see like 6 minutes of black with audio? or visa versa?

Trying trashing your preferences, and re capture.

So after looking at the footage, final cut pro is only showing a portion of the file. I opened the quick time file and it appears to imported everything, but final cut will now show the whole clip.
