Capturing problem in older version of FCP

We shot some footage with the hvx200 (480/24p) to tape. However, capturing in FCP 3, we are getting an error message that time code cannot be read and it stops there.

I'm pretty sure the timecode was being output in the menu settings as I know the camera was in free run, non drop frame, and I was running double system to a separate recorder.

If the menu settings was to set to user information and not timecode, is there a way around this. I know this is an older version. I need to be able to digitize this asap and appreciate any assistance.

Thanks

FCP 3 also does not support the Panasonic 24p/24pa format. If you capture it as normal NTSC (drop-frame) 60i, there should be no problem, I think. I say "I think" as FCP 3 had none of the 24p Panny stuff in it yet.

Capture Now would be the way to go, but it won't change the timecode problem. You should be able to just capture it as a normal NTSC 60i (unless you're working in PAL), which is in fact drop-frame.
