capturing PAL 25p in FCP

I suppose this has been answered many times before, but I couldn't find any reference. Is there anything special to do in FCP when capturing 25p PAL footage? I just tried it with the regular PAl settings and it looked okay, but just thought I'd ask to make sure.

I also shot some 50i for some slow motion sequences. I suppose I need to convert this using Cinema Tools?

Thanks,

Dant,
Since no one else has answered, I'll toss in my 2 cents...
I was concerned about the same thing and could not find the answer. Ultimately, I sent my tape to DVFilm in Texas and had them look at it to confirm that I was inputing the footage at 25fps PROGRESSIVE and that it was also outputting the way. They confirmed it. My settings in Final Cut Pro for capture:
Easy Set Up: DV PAL 48 khz Anamorphic (I'm using the anamorphic adapter).
Hope this helps!

Thanks cyclone. You would think that somewhere in those 1600 pages of FCP user handbook and some 100 200 pages extra of cinema tools, that they might find a few centimeters of space to mention 25p. Oh well. I used the same setup as you without anamorphic.

Unfortunately they always seem to neglect us PAL users.
I didn't find any information about this stuff on the manual. So, I just started playing around with it and found the correct settings.

Hope in the future they start adding some info about PAL. Do you hear us Apple? Is there any representative from Apple here?

All the best

Fidel.
