Capturing On The Fly

Hi all,

I'm using the DVX with FCP HD 4.5 - I'm wondering if it's possible to capture on the fly from the DVX into FCP. We produce an internet radio program where we record first into the DVX, then capture the footage. It would save a huge amount of time if we could just be running the sound into the camera and capturing in real time.

Does FCP support this? If so, how do I do it? If not, is there an inexpensive program we could get?

Log and capture will support this. Just hook up your camera turn it on, and press "capture now" when you're ready.

I'm assuming you're recording to tape and then capturing it?... which is a waste of tape. Do you want to capture it and then transcode it into mp3 or a similar format for internet delivery? There are applications that will do this for you, but that is a more advanced topic.
