Capturing issues...

Alright. I have been capturing 35 minutes of footage from one tape. It was shot in 24pa and told to capture with the advanced pulldown. I broke the footage up into three sections. The first two sections captured with a framerate showing of 23.98. However, the last one shows it is 29.97.

What is going on here? Why did my last one change to a different framerate if my settings are the same when capturing?

Question 2: Is there a way, once it has already been captured, to convert the 29.97 footage to 23.98?

Either there's a timecode break or a cadence break in your third section and FCP didn't think it was advanced pulldown.

Select it in the bin and go to Tools -> Remove Advanced Pulldown
