capturing in Vegas

when I capture with my video camera to my computer the red record button does not turn off when I want to stop recording and when I do stop the capture it makes a horrible buzzing sound.

Is there a certain mode I should have the DVX on when I capture ?

I read the manual and I am confused about the 3394 setting's and what not , Any advice would help , Thank you

Do you have "enable DV Device control" checked in Preferences?
