Capturing in the field?

Hey all,

I'm going insane trying to figure this out, and I *know* there's got to be a way to do it. I primarily edit on my laptop at home with my scratch disk set to a one terabyte external drive. If I want to bring my laptop and a smaller portable harddrive out to a shoot to capture while I'm still there is there a way to set up multiple scratch disks that one can switch between?

For example, I go out to shoot, capture footage all day onto the portable drive, come home, plug in my external, transfer the footage to that scratch disk and then edit from there?

I know I could just create a new scratch disk every time, but that's messy, and I'm an organization freak.

You don't CREATE a new scratch disk every time. You just go into the settings and set the CAPTURE SCRATCH when you connect the drive you want to use. When you are in the field, set the small drive as the capture scratch. When back at home base, set it back to the big boy. Pretty easy, takes seconds.
