Capturing in Double NTSC

I just upgraded to Vegas 8 pro a few weeks ago, and I still can't find an option to import footage at Double NTSC (59.94 fps). Am I missing the option? I can import at 12, 24, 15, 30, but not 60. Is this just not an offered capture format for Vegas 8? If so, why is there a timeline option for it?

OK, thanks, I see that now. Then how can I capture in 60i? All of my footage that I capture from 60i tape comes out in 30i in the software.

The capture program captures bit for bit whatever's on tape. If it's 60i, it's 60i.

It says "29.97i" under the preview window, but that's 60i. It's just calling it the same thing Avid calls it.
