Im wondering if it is possible to capture HDV video with the program adobe premiere pro 2.0...?
Do i need a capture card, or is there a way to do it over firewire or a HDMI cable or what....

Definately need some help

thanks

Depends on your camera and your system, but yes. Premiere is verrrrry fussy about system requirements. I had the AMD 64bit CPU, and only 1 gig of ram, but it captured fine from my HD100. I changed the board out, got a different 1 gig of ram and a slightly faster cpu, and the thing won't capture more than a minute or so without hanging and crashing. So, I got HDVSplit for free, and it captures fine.

i have the sony hdr-hc3 camera, i filmed with the hi def tapes, and my computer has a intel 2 duo core processor 2.0 ghz 4.0mb cache, and 2 gb or ram...

Then you just need to make sure that your cam is supported. Go to the Adobe site, and search it. I'm willing to bet that you'll be able to plug in the firewire and go.

i already tried it and went under the 1080i project and tried to capture and it wont work, i can rewind the camera and control it and everything, but it does not show the video on my computer screen and will not let me click on the record button...any help?
