Ok guys, just looking for any tips/tricks you can offer. I shoot with the XL2 and most of the time I shoot in 24p. I have heard a couple different responses to my questions but still I'm only 50% satisfied with the results so maybe I can get some help in cracking this code.
Problem:
Exported AVI footage is sometimes choppy.
Question 1:
When I capture 24p footage, would you recommend the Project Settings be set to a 23.976fps timebase or a 29.97?
Question 2:
Considering Question 1, what would the best Export settings be, fps-wise? (Format I typically use is Microsoft DV AVI. Feel free to comment on that as well.)
I appreciate any help you can offer. I just want to be able to export and burn (with Encore) my projects without fear of the notorious "choppy video." Unfortunately, my clients probably wouldn't be as satisfied having to stand around my computer to watch their video. Thanks again.
