Capturing DVX100A footage, Im new, I'm confused, help?

Okay so all I want to do is import my footage.
But I want individual clips for each take and im stressing over this.
Which it seems impossible at this moment.
Please help.
 
Can you be more specific? Logging and capturing take by take with the 24p Advanced Easy Setup is essentially what you want. As for a step by step- that info is in your manual or anywhere of a dozen places you'll find by googling.
