Capturing DVX Footage To Send Cross Country

Hello World! I've never done this before, so I'm hoping someone has recently done this to help with the workflow. Here's what I've got:

- Roughly 80 minutes of footage on Minidv

Here's what I need to do:

- Rip the footage to DVD using FCP, that my buddy in Los Angeles who's only got iMovie, can then edit with.

What's the best way to do this? Thanks homies, Franch.

Hmmmm... easiest way? Send him the mini DV tapes.

Other way. Burn uncompressed quicktime movies to DVD's and send him those. 80 minutes would be somewhere around 5 DVD's (single layer), but you wouldn't lose any quality.
