Capturing - avg frame rate and avg data rate

Hey I was wondering if the average frame rate and average data rate should be something specific when capturing with vegas6, for instance 24pA footage.

I have had varying data rates and frame rates for different captures is this okay? its nothing drastic like 10 frames but something like 29.XX to 30.XX and something from 3.2X to 3.4X, thanks fo the info
 
so by no one responding does that mean that the variations are normal ?

can someone please confirm of disconfirm this please?
