captured 24p w/ 2:3:3:2 has skip/repeat frames

Someone please help!
We shot our film in 24p and then captured it with a sony dvcam (pd100), into FCP 4.1 with 2:3:3:2 pulldown.
80% of our footage is perfect, frame by frame, but 20% comes out: frame, frame, repeat frame, skip frame.
Has anyone else ever had this problem?
Thanks!

Did you shoot 24p normal mode(f5) or 24p advanced mode(f6).

If in advanced mode did you capture with 24p "removal".

It sounds as though you have ripped frames. Yes i have had the problem you have, though mine never skipped frames, it only crossed frames together from cut to cut.

If you post which mode you shot in, it'll be easier to choose a course of action. (only reason I ask this is that you did not put an A after 24p in your post, which poses the above question.)

Thanks so much for the replies.
My dp has confessed to me that although he shot 90% of the film in 24pa (f6), he was accidentally in regular 24p, (f5) once, and also in 30p once, (geez!)
All of the footage regardless, was captured with 2:3:3:2 pulldown.
Perhaps it is likely this is my problem.
The: "frame, frame, double-frame, skip frame," anomaly occurs randomly, sometimes in the midst of perfectly captured 24fps footage.
So, usually the first part of the captured footage looks perfect, and then the anomaly occurs. (Yes in the middle of a capture it changes!)
The question is what are my options to be able to use all of this footage together on one timeline without double and skipped frames?
I have After Effects 6.5, which can re-interpret footage...
Thanks so much in advance for your replies.
p.s. Could using a dvcam to capture the footage pose a problem?

New DP?
DVCam is fine for capturing but it does cause wear and rear on cam.
it woudl be odd to change part way through the shot.
If you know which ones are shot at 24p (f5) then try doing a reverse telecine in AE or Cinema Tools. At least that way both 24fps footage types are now in 23.98 fps.
30fps is a bit tougher to get good results. Try placing it in a 23.98 tiemlien as well or try putting it in AE in a 23.98 comp with frame blending enabled.
