What are you guys using to capture your DV tape?

I am using Vegas at the moment (capture tape) hooked directly to the 100a.

I was thinking there had to be a better way than having to capture from the DVX everytime you wanted something off tape.

Seems like I read somewhere that puts wear and tear on the heads that doesn't need to be put there.

You would think that some company would have made a $250 deck by now. Just strip away the optics and CCD's on a cheap camera and voila! Or is there one that's already out there?

Yeah its funny you could just buy the 350 dollar canon piece of **** cam just for digitizing footage...there is no need to spend 1600 on a deck...ahh that would be nice though would it not?
