Capture Settings for Old Tape and New Camera...

I have a few tapes that were recorded on a fairly old miniDV non-HD camcorder. Don't know the make or model, just that the camera is pretty outdated by today's standards.

I have been trying to log and capture the tape with a Canon HV30... (HDV camera I believe) but have yet to find a setting for FCP that makes it even recognize the footage...

Any ideas? Thank you.

I have it set to DV out.

It is now capturing with NTSC in the easy setup... However, it does not detect scene breaks (don't know if it is possible to get that to happen without HDV).
