Capture Preview not working

Hey All,

I've run into a problem capturing on my new system. Before I start a capture I can see everything in the preview window just fine. As soon as I start capturing, the image freezes. I tried switching to "Smart Preview" but that didn't work either. In "Smart Preview" as soon as I start capturing I get a blue screen in the preview area with a text message that says preview is off. The capture actually works fine in either mode, but it's just that the preview seems to not work. Any ideas? Vegas 6.0d

If your system captures just fine without any errors or dropped frames during the process... up until you want to preview it... then i can only suspect that maybe you might not have enough internal memory/ram in your cpu to push the preview mode... especially if you're attempting to preview HD footage or have a large screen when previewing.

Well, it is high res footage. It's captured off a PC running at 1024x768 progressive at 29.97. My machine has 2 GB of ram, so I don't think ram is the issue. The system has performed up to 40_ fps at this res without any dropped frames - just no preview. The thing that's weird is that the preview is fine until I hit the capture button. Any other ideas?
