Capture old VHS

I'm trying to capture old VHS to burn them on DVD and store them on Hard Disk but I'm not able to capture it. I plugged my DVX with my VCR with video and audio cable. Then, I turned the DVX on VCR mode. When I play the VHS, I see the video in the DVX and in the capture screen in FCP so every cable are Okay. The problem is when I click on Capture in FCP HD, it says something like Error, Need to be in VTR mode. What's wrong?
 
Select "Non Controllable Device" in your FCP capture settings, and use 'Capture Now' - should be good to go.
 
thank you, it worked fine! Now, I know when I capture, it will make .mov file. Will those file will be readable on PC? If not, I can I make them readable on PC?
