Hi,
I did a two cam shoot and set the timecode to free run. Jam synced the two cams so I could sync up the footage in post.
My preference is to capture entire tapes and log once the footage is ingested. I feel that it speeds up my workflow rather than logging individual clips then capturing.
My problem now is that I can't capture the tapes as one media file without difficulty. I don't like the "make new clip" on break option because it takes Final Cut forever to capture, as it tries to find the frame where the break starts, pre-roll, then capture. I selected "Warn after capture" which seems to have worked in the past. However this time around Final Cut captures the entire tape as one media file (verified by opening the source file in Quicktime), but Final Cut only "sees" footage up until the first timecode break. I tried fiddling with the aux timecode options without success.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Jaems
