Capture looks like CRAP

When I capture DV footage from my HVX200 to Final Cut Pro, it looks so crappy! The footage looks fine on the camera. I've tried different filming modes (60,30,24p,24pn) and they all look bad. My Capture Settings are: Device = NTSC Basic, Capture/Input = DV NTSC 48 kHz. Seriously, the footage looks worse than stuff I use to do with my Sony Handycam.

EDIT: This is all using mini DV tape.

This sound like my dvx100b. hope someone answers this. my footage has an orange cast coming into computer or tv monitor. Looks fine on the LCD.

try seeing if your settings are set to play back full qulity, and then try burnning a DVD and see how it looks on a tv.

I did all of that, and it still looks worse than a handy cam.

see if your record setting is at full quality, and Don't use the NTSC basic setting, or the Firewire basic setting, that could be f-ing it up
