capture hdv with other camera

[martindeman]

Hi everyone.

I have a sort of a general question.
I have shot some footage with the sony z1 in hdv 1080i
Can I use a other hdv camcorder to capture in premiere cs4?
I mean use a cheaper one, like the hv20?

T.I.A.!

Yes, any 1080i HDV camcorder should be able to play that Z1 footage. Be aware that a JVC 720p HDV camcorder cannot, but a Canon or Sony should.
