So im here in Canada..and im sitting in my mom's cousins studio...and hes got an FX1 sitting infront of me...so i was bored and decided to record a family dinner in 1080i 60i..so it recorded....now i want to capture to Vegas 6.0c the full HDV quality.........so then I hook the cam thru firewire..and its on HDV playback mode..the computer recognizes it..but Vegas doesnt.
I clicked capture video and i got the window that says..use internal or external source..ive never captured HDV so i just clicked whatever said HDV...i think it was external...so then i get this new window that pops up and i go to preferences in the window and click 1394 port and then FX1..i click it..it says ready for capture..i click record..and i dont get a preview of the footage and the computer freezes. The tape on the camera plays back fine..but the computer is a pain in the ass.
Anyone have a suggestion to how i can get this problem fixed so i can capture HDV footage in Vegas??
