"Capture Encountered a problem..." WTF!!!

Hey guys, I'm editing a wedding for a guy and the first 3 tapes captured fine. The last 2, however, have been stopping at certain spots and give me the "Capture encountered a problem..." message. What could be happening? I've heard dirty heads can do this. I have a cheap little Sony that I use for capturing. Any help shall be rewarded with a mildy ammusing joke. Thanks

I've been through every capture issue. Well almost every one. Anyways. Sounds to me that the problem is not from your deck but the actual camera you used to record the footage. You did mention that the audio drops at that certain point constantly. There is no going back but to clean the heads for future reference. As for capturing, you should not batch capture. if you do make sure to set at 8 seconds from the point the deck stops at the drop to have enough clean TC to start again.

Found the prob. The guy who shot it just told me that his camera had been giving him trouble, hence, the problematic tapes. RRrrrrgggg. I wish he'd told me that BEFORE the 5 hours of research I did. Anywho, thanks guys.
