Capture deck

Need some help here.... Right now I'm using an old camcorder as my deck but someone wants to buy it from me now. Where can I find a good deck from and what brand do you guys suggest I use?

Thanks

Coffee-

If it were me, I would just go with another camcorder. However, if you want a deck...a really respected deck, the SONY DSR-11 is top of the line. I hate the pricetag but it's a good deck. I use them at school.

I second that.

Question?

If you use a sony camera as a deck and every type of tape has been used on it, meaning (sony tapes, panasonic tapes, jvc tapes, etc....), does this effect the dvx if the tape is brought back into the dvx, after being used to capture?
Will this mess up the heads?

This is what I use, coffee. Picked it up for $400 (not from ebay, though - mine is EU version). If I was to buy new one I'd get the one with DVD recorder instead of S-VHS

Will this act as a deck? Is there any sort of ports (1394) to connect to the computer? Does this work with any computer (Macs)?? Sorry for all the questions, just never heard of this.
