Jeez Terry. Bayoneting 101. But, as my dad used to say, you need to switch feet/weight after the plunge in order to pull the bayonet out, otherwise it gets stuck in thier muscles.
That's about all the detail I want to get into right now. My Dad was cool. Suffice to say, we (my freinds and I) had a strange childhood. (This was normal on a Friday night for us kids. :beer We were half drunk and high on Friday nights as kids (16ish) coming home and Dad would teach us combat training. Only because that's what he did and he loved us. He was good too. Good times man. Too bad I could never use any of it.
(Well, that and I'm not sure if I'd have the guts. Maybe at 17 yrs, I could see it. It'd be harder now though, right?)
