Capote

Hey,

Just got back from Capote. Great, great film with great performances.

I also loved how it was shot and lit.
I am a total novice in the field of lighting but I loved the effect they pulled off with the simulated natural light. I don't know what it's called but I'm going to call it "Light coming through window on an overcast day".

I have no idea if that makes any sense, but if it does to anyone then i very curious as to witch kind of lighting equipment they use to pull this particular effect off.

thank you

It's a light filter applied in some application. Greys and hues were probably dithered. Or some stuff like that.

You saw it in Iceland, probably. I saw it in the same night but in Portugal, Lisbon.

I appreciate the production design according the potential lighting and grading work like the car's blue interior of the first thirty minutes of the movie. Better painting would be if not impossible, near by.
