sorry for all the annoying questions, but I read many opinions on these things

Are character names supposed to be capitalized in the Action

ex:

FRED pushed the door open for CHARLIE

Thanks

Callaghan is absolutely spot on.

To Fahad's question. No, no, and no capitalization on verbs. :D

As matter of fact try to get rid of all "ing" verbs, it just confuses what your tense you're using.

Bob walks to the park.

NOT

Bob is walking to the park.

Seema sits on a park bench.

NOT

Seema is sitting on a park.

You keep the tense in the present and you get rid of most your "is's" which helps your script read easier. Only use "ing" when you absolutely have to.

Only the first time you introduce HIM.

Sometimes a second time, *sort of*, if the first time the introduction is generic (YOUNG WOMAN, MAN, THE WATCHER, etc( , but the second time we learn of a (another / actual) name for the character (BOB, ELI, etc).

For example, THE BOOK OF ELI; first we are introduced to Eli not as Eli but as (on page 1 of the script) THE WATCHER, then (on page 2 of the script) 'His name is ELI.' But as Callaghan said, whatever character is used whether The Watcher or Eli or whatever, only the first instance of that name is capitalized.
