Canvas Went White

My canvas has turned white. When I manually move the playhead over the timeline, the canvas stays white. However, If I press play, then it plays the media and is no longer white. I think I accidentally pushed a button to cause this to happen. Can someone please tell me what this is and how to shut it off?

Thanks

Re: Canvas Went White

Check your filter tab in your viewer of that clip, and see if you changed the transparacy settings.

the same thing happened to me today. After a certain point every clip that I brought onto the timeline had no picture. It was a blank clip. Now the clips played back fine it just doesn't a picture like the other ones do. I was messing with the transparency for one of the clips but I am not sure why it made every clip after that white with no picture.

Trash your prefs from your Library....and repair permissions on your drive...

I think I figured out my issue. I accidentally set my canvas settings to "Alpha" rather than "RGB" under the pull down button that also has the options to change your settings to wireframe or not. Somehow, I set all my clips to this and I simply reset them all individually to RGB. I only had ten or fifteen clips that were effected.

Well after I saved my work, I shut FCP down then brought it back up a few minutes later and everything was cool again...
