Cantury optics wide angle lens vs. 24mm on my letus

I'm looking to get a wide angle lens for christmas. I'm looking for a wide angle lens that is as wide as the one you see in Wes Anderson's movies (rushmore, royal tennenbaums, life aquatic)

I own a letus adapter... would i be better off using the century optics wide angle lens or getting cannon lens to put on my letus adapter?

Also to get the Wes Anderson type wide angle lens would it be a .5 or a .7 or what with the century optics? what would it be with the cannon lens 24mm, 28mm?

also i'd like to know, how each would effect light? film like look? ect... anything else you guys have experienced with either could help

well, youll have a nice crispy wide angle image with the century optics, as your getting alot more light through less glass, but you can never go wrong with the nice soft image of an adapter, and the wide angles are great to use on things like steadicam where focus pulling is impossible.

id go wit hthe 35mm lens.
 
can anyone recommend a size or model for a lens for the letus adapter? especially if i like the wes anderson wide angle lens
 
bump... anyone got reccommendations for canon wide angle lenses? sample photos... i'd like to know how wide they are... you're guys help would be apprechiated a lot, this is supposed to be my xmas gift, so it's already late
 
I own the letus35flip and I do like to use wide lenses ,but you should know and
probably already know that you don't get the full 50mm or 24mm when you use pretty
much any 35mm adapter. You almost always have to zoom in past that point.
 
yeah i'm aware of that... i'm just wondering if anyone knows a decent 400 dollar or less wide angle lens, that will give me some good looking barrel distortion... not skateboarder style but a good amount... would that be a 24mm or 35mm?

also if someone has a good information website where i can learn basics about lenses that could helpl me out too
