Can't use ac3 pro in Vegas 9

Every time I try to render my audio out to .ac3 pro in Vegas 9 x64 I get message saying that it can't access it and I need to install and register dvd architect, which I have already done. I can however use the ac3 studio plugin, and for some reason the ac3 pro plugin works fine when I'm running vegas 8.0. Any suggestions?

64bit Vegas can't access 32bit codecs.

That would make sense, so Sony never developed a 64 bit version of ac3 pro?

If they are licensing it themselves and don't develop it in house, it's possible that such a codec doesn't exist.
