Can't see FCP timeline vid clips in Apple Color?

I am a final cut pro user looking to bring a 3min music video project into Apple color.

The tutorial shows once I select the sequence in FCP and hit -send to color
I should see the video clips in the color interface timeline just as I see in FCP. I've tried it three times and nothing. I can access the clips individually, but not see them in a timeline fashion like final cut pro

Just wondering If anyone knows what to do, or has had the same problem themselves?:huh:
 
I'm having the same problem, I was thinking it was my computer being old G5 2.0 dual.

However I guess if it installed then it should work, right ?

I don't think that this is necessarily true. My recently retired dual 2GB G5 ran Color fine, but I had upgraded the graphics card to a Radeon x800XT. This was the fasted card available for the graphics slots in those machines and, as far as I know, other cards for that model don't have the horsepower to run Color (the graphics slot was upgraded in later G5s). I installed Color on a PowerBook G4 just to get familiar with the application while on the road, and though it installed, it couldn't be used on that computer. So I think you have to install the program and give it a try to find out if it will work for you.

So you think if I upgrade tp the ATI Radeon x800Xt card I will definately see a difference with Apple Color?

Okay I tryed to get a screen shot but now Color crashes upon opening from FCP. I talked to a mac comp store and they said there is ati radeon 9600 HD card 256mb that would probably help.

my current G5 is a dual 2ghz with ATi 9600 128mb card and video footage is SD 24P

Could it be anything else possibly than the video card why I'm not seeing the timeline, or I guess as of today why the program is not even opening?

PLease I greatly appreciate any help.
