can't remove bowl from libec head..

I just got a dv caddie dolly and am trying to mount my libec ls38 tripod head to it. The problem is that I need to remove the bowl, but i can't figure out how to do it. Anyone know how to remove the bowl from a libec head?

I have the same tripod, and I THINK you need to remove three small screws inset on the bottom, and then screw the bowl off the head.

i removed those screws and the bowl losened up, however, it still won't come off, there's something around the pan lock area that is keeping it snagged in there.
