Can't post frame grabs.  Help!

Tried the DVX frame grabber to post some stills, but after uploading a file it takes me to the page where you can vote on the pic, except there's no pic, just the "image missing" question mark. I tried this a few times with the same result. File size was under the maximum allowed for upload.

Also tried "imageshack.com" with similar results. What the heck?

Anybody got any ideas why it's not working? Thanks.

i use imageshack and all you have to do is upload. Once upload it gives up several different links. You want to copy the direct link. Then paste the link here, highlight and then hit the insert image. ;D

I registered, then tried uploading a pic, but instead of giving me links it just reloaded the "upload a picture" page, and no images showed up on the "my images" page.  I can't figure out why it's not working.

Are you positive you uploading a jpeg or gif or similar image? Not by any chance saved as a PS image or a file type of your NLE?

John, I saved as jpeg within PS. Would that make a difference? Resulting file is a jpeg, not PSD. Any idea why it's not working?

Nope, no luck with Imageshack either. Very frustrating.

The last one I tried uploading to the DVX frame grab thingie was around 45K, the Image Shack ones were bigger (since they allow up to 1024K or something).

Didn't realize it looked quite so compressed. Guess my jamming the file down to 40k didn't do it any favors. :)

I can't see why this would make a difference, but when I was uploading the files I was using Safari. Perhaps there's some weird Safari issue that wasn't letting it upload the pics correctly? Maybe I'll give it a shot with Explorer. Then again, maybe computers just don't like me.

So it turns Safari was the problem. Tried Image Shack again using Explorer and the images uploaded without a problem. Mystery solved at last! :D
