Can't Import Footage into FCE

Hey Guys,

So I had a bad weekend. My computer crashed three days after I downloaded Limewire....damn. So I got the Hard drive replaced and have got all my stuff back onto my computer but for some reason FCE is the only thing giving me issues....It wont let me import footage. When I capture the camera rolls but the capture freezes and says there is something wrong with the tape. Any suggestions guys? Is it in the wrong setting or something? I'm shooting snowboarding in 60i so i have it capturing at 29.97. Is there any other specifics I should have set to? Please help! thanks

Have you checked to see if there is an HDV/DV setting mismatch somewhere (either in the camera or in FCE)?

Ya I just switched the easy setup settings to NTSC format And DV-NTSC Firewire Basic and that works, but what if I'm filming in 24p, because it doesn't allow me to adjust the rate in that mode...
