Can't hear audio

no, the audio track toggle switch is not "off". I can hear the aduio when I scroll through the timeline fast but when I play it there is no audio. I can see the levels in the meter but no sound.

When I render the clip out and play it the audio is fine in the clip.


Anyone ever have this problem?
 
You're outputting audio to dv, not desktop. It's a quick fix.

Here's the filepath. Go to project>project settings>general>playback settings>play audio on audio hardware.
 
lol don't worry. I spent a good week and a half when I first started learning premier with that problem. I updated drivers and even bought a new soundcard to fix it... and it didn't help. lol
Luckily I figured it out before I threw my pc out the window.
