Can't eject dvd—Help!

Hi,

I have a MBPro and can't seem to eject a DVD. It's grayed out under File.

What can I do to force eject it?

I had put in a dvd to burn a .img of a film, but the Disk Utility's burn button was grayed out and the dvd player didn't show up in list under the drives like I thought it would.

Btw, I don't have a mouse, but tried restarting and holding down on the trackpad. No good.

Just checked the System Report. It says, "No disc burning device was found..."
Houston, we have a problem.
 
How old is the MBP. The optical drive on mine just failed and it was just a little over a year old. Had it replaced in 2 days at the Apple store under the extended warranty I bought. The paper clip trick won't work on the tray less drives.
 
It has been a long time and I can't remember the hardware trick but have you tried restarting while pressing eject?
