Hi.
I'm trying to cut a live performance of two cameras. Both footage is 1080P and in PR422 format.
It was brought into FCP and I changed some colour settings to match the footage. Rendered it all out, exported as reference movies and brought back into FCP. I was using pluraleyes to sync, so I continued to use that to create a multiclip.
However, when I import this multiclip it has a green render bar up. If I were to render this footage, it would appear as a single shot, not the multiclip various camera angle clip.
However if I try to edit this without rendering away the green bar, and give me my nice dual angle shoot, then my computer craps out after about 7/8 seconds of real time - my external hard drive coming to make 'oh dear' noises. This naturally makes editing real time impossible!
Does anyone know if a) my MBPro is simply not powerful enough and/or the hard drive (WD 1TB connected via eSATA) is too slow.
Or am I missing something here w/these green render bars - all the Multicam tutorials I've seen never seen to have this problem.
Thanks!,
andy
