:'( Help! I am having major difficulties with Final Cut Pro 4 capturing video.
I have an external La Cie firewire drive and I am using a Sony DSR11 deck, also connected by firewire.
When I try to capture FCP shows a frame of video (in the large capture window)and nothing happens. Esc will not do anything either so I end up having to force quit. I tried changing to capturing to the hard drive, but it makes no difference.
I realise I am asking a lot of my Imac but I could use it before for capturing DV footage with FCP 3.
Long term I am upgrading to a G5 but I would like to do something now or sooner.
(I have selected PAL anamorphic source which is what I shot.)
Please help as
1) I’m going crazy
2) I’m going more crazy, than I was before.
I have tried all possible settings.
