For the life of me, I cant get DVDA3 to burn -R dual layer discs. It gives me the error message of "can not burn, please insert proper media." something along those lines. Both of my burners are -R compatible. One is sony dual layer burner and other is a liteon dual layer. I have no problem burning -r dual layer in NTI or any other software.

I would just prepare the files in Architect then burn the video_ts in something like NTI or Nero but those other programs dont recognize the Jacket_ts folder for my jacket picture. Is there a way around this or a way to include the jacket files while burning in another program?

Maybe an ISO would work? can DVDA3 even burn ISO files to disc to play in DVD player?

No. Liteon and a sony.

I ended up just buying +R discs

My new question is, how close to 8.5gig can you get with the "estimated" disc size. I heard that Architect usually over estimates and that as long as you are within 98-99% your fine. Can you push it to around 100% (say an estimated size of 8400mb) and still be ok? thanks
