Can't believe what I just witnessed...

Runner Up.
I just finished working crew for a show on campus here, and one of my acquintances/fellow crew members was having a tough night. He looked really upset and was keeping to himself. I asked if he was ok and he simply replied "Yah, I'm fine." His lady friend had to go to the bathroom, but right before she walked out, she consoled him and said she'd brb.

After she leaves, he goes and opens up a door to a stairwell, and says "Hey, if anyone is looking for me, I'll be in the stairwell." I thought he needed some time to himself so I didn't think anything of it.

Some time went by and one of the other crew members runs out there and sees him under the stairwell with his belt around his neck and having a seizure! I immediately called 911 and they showed up within 3-4 minutes.

Definitely the weirdest things I've ever seen. The kid seemed fine the last few days. I don't know what was different about today, but man, that was weird.

He's at the hospital right now and apparently sedated. I contacted someone that is there with him and they said that they are waiting for the results of the CT Scan and the blood work to see if it was a reaction to his medication or something else.

Any idea what he was being medicated for?

I have no idea. I don't know his history. I just hope the kids ok. It doesn't make sense that he had a belt around his neck though.

Strange

Strange

Are you sure he wasn't a Method ACTOR? Did you get it on tape?

Ok, sorry for making light of it. I'm sure it was really hard to deal with. I have had many strange and sad things like this in life time.

Somtimes you just have to find something to smile out. And sometimes there isn't anything.

Hope he is ok.

Sometimes those meds can mess up your mind. I try to stay away from all that, too many use it as a crutch, and pharm companies don't care about side effects that might drive kids like this to do stupid things.

Hopefully he turns out okay, and sees that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

The industry is filled with unhappy, desperate people who will put on a happy face and seem to have it totally together... any of you guys that do this for more then a hobby will get repeated chances to help people that need it. I'm not saying that you should make psychology as important as location sound... but just be aware of it.

There's a reason they call Hollywood "tinseltown"... try to be cool to everybody you work with... even if they're "just a PA".

I know Justin's not talking about Hollywood here... but cameras always attract desperate people.
