I zoomed in between 58 - 74 and focus between 11 - 14! Everything turned out great but I been pressing the auto settings button when I turn the dvx on! I'll put some stills up soon. The light on the DVX LCD looks fine but in Vegas its a little darker! I thought I was capturing at the same quality as the LCD screen but it was a little darker on the computer! I tried to add brightness or add a Magic Bulletbut it didnt work! It just added noise!

You can't capture footage at any lesser quality than what's the on tape. When you capture, all you are doing is transferring all of the 1s and 0s on the tape into your computer. It's exactly the same data file. What was on tape will be in your computer, no changes.
Footage almost always looks brighter on the LCD and on a TV than it does on a computer. That's just the difference between an analog screen and a computer screen.
You need to preview out to a TV while you're editing to see what it will look like.
