Hello everybody!
Haven't been here for a while. Been busy out shooting with my A1/Blade set up!
Wanted to share with you all that I was the DP on a fun little project. It was an over the top comedy-like action film structured in 4 vignettes.
We shot for 18 hours straight in a warehouse in Kansas City. We had a '74 corvette and real AK-47s. Fun stuff!
The film was shot with my Canon XHA1/SGBlade (rrr2 nonflip) with Nikon glass (28mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4, 50mm f/1.4, 85mm f/1.4, 105mm f/2.0)
The rig is equipped with RedRock Mattebox and rod/shoulder support system.
Monitoring was done with an IKAN on the camera with a feed out to a DP-1 for the director.
We used my Steadicam Merlin (camera naked, of course), a glidetrack, and my Cartoni F102 tripod for support.
Lighting consisted of Kino Divas and Arri lights ranging from their 150s up to their 1Ks.
Editing was done in FCP, color correction was done with Magic Bullet Looks, and visual effects were done in AE with the help of video copilot plugi-ns and eduction).
