Canon XF 100

Hello everyone,

I am a newbie just made the leap to a pro grade camera the Canon XF 100 to replace my Sony camcorder and Nikon DSLR gear for landscape, nature and wildlife. It really is a well made camera and a joy to use no more lugging heavy DSLR gear around I am quite confidant this option will work out well for everything except birding.

I am a Mac user have a Mac Pro and a 15" i7 MBP and quite comfortable with most Mac programs except "Final Cut" which I intend to purchase. I understand the program is due a major overhaul in the next couple of months so was planning to hold of on the purchase until the new version is released.

Any comments on this would be appreciated also what other options would one suggest in the interim I understand FCP is the preferred software to complement this camera.

Avid or FCP work with that camera. Just get the plugin for it.

DOn't wait for the next version. Buy when you need. The current version will work with it...and if you want to upgrade, the price is small. Waiting for upgrades will lead you to chase your tail. No one knows when it is due out. They might ANNOUNCE it soon, but RELEASE it months later.
