As I get into doing more commercial work, a big fear of mine is moire. I own some expensive Canon EF glass and wanted to stick with Canon but I like the reliability of the GH2 or G6 in how it prevents moire far better. I just feel like it would be safer to shoot with GH2s, G6s or GH3s on a paid shoot to avoid moire problems. I'd hate to shoot a wedding and for some reason the wedding dress picks up a moire problem because of its pattern and I can't get any shots of it that don't look warped. But I'm not really looking forward to investing in a bunch of MFT glass.
I'd rather invest in glass that I can trade up and use one day on a Red Scarlet or Epic that has an EF mount. So investing in MFT glass seems like a real waste to me since all future cameras tend to have EF mounts. But Canon is horrible with moire which make them unreliable to me for commercial work. Unless there is a newer Canon camera out that doesn't have moire as badly? Anything new out there? I was hoping Canon would have a DSLR equivalent to the GH2 or G6.
