Canon user thread - post your pictures here

Sorry USLatin but I don't like your moons. They look too fake :/

Yea I figured there must be a lot of people that share the opinion with you. I made an other that was much closer to realism, I should post that one, gotta check it first though.

I used to have a Nikon D100 and now I have a Canon 5d

I'd never go back better auto white balance, better auto focus

I'd say canon is a lot more intuitive as fas as how a camera should work
its just really easy with canon !

my post work is in photoshop. Great work and be achieved with both, but the canon is just more intuitive and I think its worth it.

Love your post work man. Lovely... I hope I get to being able to make those right one after the other. Took a good look at your portfolio and enjoyed it a bunch! I really like many of them.

I really enjoyed this one... people are amazed by weird looking things now, and it can be nice to stand out from the crowd a bit... 300 was wildly popular... anywho... I am hoping I will get to do some sky replacement for this supernatural thriller, and I will certainly push the sky past realism if I get to, however we'll be in that area where it can still be believable to many and most can still at least let themselves believe. It will of course be closely selected sequences that will call for it and benefit greatly from it. If I could I'd go apeshi* and make it look something like this with all kinds of particle animation for the snow (set in winter) but there is no way we'll get any more than one special effect we need and some scarce sky replacement. Though you never know I might be able to do it myself... that would be sweet but a royal PITA...

50mm, 1.8, 1/20.

Not the greatest shot, but I was bored and thought I'd play around with a camera shot for my site.

Not bad, but I think what throws this off for me is the SIZE of your nephew in comparison with the bridge. At first I thought it was lighting and was trying to pinpoint it, but I think it may be the perspective.

Nice shot otherwise,

Kegan

Lighting will be just about perfect once I add a blue glow from the water to his bottom and right side, though I should probably extend the shadow on the leg a bit more perhaps... perspective is off though, I wish I would have gotten that a bit closer. Good eye.

Yeah I hear ya, but I didn't replace the sky or super impose anything in this
picture :)

Great photo, I would also add a shadow under his arm onto the bridge.

EDIT: great panoramas! I really dig the second one.

thanks man, I was told to do more crazy stuff if I am going to sell myself to people as an editor. I should do more wacky stuffs, it is fun too. It is way bigger than this but here is a little of the detail.

I'll probably re-touch Nico some time soon.
