Canon user thread - post your pictures here

Yea, me too .. that's why I documented it :) Actually we were going really slow, so I was playing around with the camera. I know, probably not real safe, but we were going under 5 miles an hour at the time, so ...

If the traffic depresses you, try looking a few posts up at my shots of the pacific ocean, all taken around Pebble Beach in Monterey, CA

The shots around Pebble Beach were great. I suppose you have turned around and shot a few of the course you'd care to share? That will lift me out of my traffic funk, LOL

Unfortunately, it was late in the day and overcast and I tried to grab the PB shots from the moving car ... so they didn't come out. I do have a couple mediocre shots I can share.

This is a house across the street from the ocean cliff:

Here are a couple of Pebble Beach course that I grabbed while driving by. Not great, but at least they are green :)

I hope to go back in a couple months, I'll get some better pics then.

Did you have to mask out the water to make it run black, or did you just use levels over then entire shot??

I really like that pic for some reason. The border actually does a lot for it too:thumbsup:

Thank you :)
Actually, there's is no mask on the water. The water in the sink reflected allot of light coming from above. So the running water and the bubbles were kind of underexposed. They are dark grey on the original.

Larry, I really gotta start taking more photos. Just been busy with my next film - anyway, I like the water seaside shot from the 21st and the first car shot...it looks very real and as if you stopped time with that shot.

The other car shot doesn't have as much range and is less focused, but great that you're taking them. I think I'll go out tomorrow if I have time and start taking some shots.

Kegan, thanks .. .glad you liked the shots. The car was hard to get cause I took that while driving down the highway. I think the first one looks better, also, because I cropped it to remove the excess traffic and just focus on the car.

Yes, definitely, get out there and shoot some stuff ... I'd love to see some other work in here :)

I also grabbed this on my way to work this morning, through my windshield:

Like these?

Seriously, thanks .. glad you guys like the shot. It's my favorite that I've taken so far. I love how it came out. If I knew what I was doing, I could probably improve on it even more.

I finally got a XTi a short while ago and thought I would upload a few of my first shots with it. The pictures are of my cousin. (There nothing great, just something to share and compare to in the future.)
