Canon has announced it will update the firmware of C500 and C300
C500: A new version of firmware supporting ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) standard. Available in June 2013.
C300:
Push button one shot AF and auto iris like the C100.
Ability to record at 1440x1080 pixel recording mode at 35Mbps
Shifting display location during magnified Focus Assist.
Available in October 2013.
No mention of 1080 50/60p. I guess C300 will never get it.
