Minolta Or Canon Fd lenses? Which have higher glass quality or well are just better over all? Or are they pretty much the same? Thanks!

I can't speak for the quality, but FDs are at least easier to find and often a great value. I have found nice FD lenses for around 20 dollars.

Yea i mean i have the FD mount, cus i bought the piece used and it came with that mount, but than my grandfather has a bunch of minoltas so i just didn't know =)

The other minolta mount is not very expensive. I would buy the minolta mount and try out the lenses. If you have a bunch of free glass laying around try it, you might find a gem.

I shoot pentax but I don't think I've ever heard anyone badmouth miniolta. I think it may be safe to assume that on average both manufacturers have very high image quality.

If I were in your situation I'd make my decision based on these factors: when it comes to the lenses that you think you'll be using most which maker has the highest image quality? And which maker's lenses look better to your eye? Different companies make their lenses slightly warmer or cooler when it comes to colors.
