Canon FD Lenses

G'day.

I have the opportunity to get my hands on the following lenses:

Canon 35 - 105mm/3.5T
Canon 35 - 70mm/3.5T
Canon 135mm/3.5T
Canon 50mm/1.4T
Canon 100mm/2.8T
Canon 24mm/2.8T
Canon 35mm/2.8T

Could anyone having used these lenses offer me some advice on wether or not to get a hold of them, I have an EX1 with Letus Extreme.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

I wouldn't get any of them except the 50mm f1.4. The rest just aren't very fast. I have the 24mm f2.8 and it's ok, but it sucks up a ton of light indoor. Save your money for an 85mm f1.8.

I disagree. I've got a bunch of FD lenses:

24 f2.8
35 f2.8
50 f1.4
100 f2.8
135 f2.8
35 - 105 f.35

I find them to be all great lenses and have no problem using them in interiors with my brevis and the extreme is supposed to be similar in light loss, sure there are faster lenses but with an ex1 and for the money it's not too bad at all. Obviously the 35-105 I use outside more than anything but inside it's doable if you use it wide open.

I do agree on the 85 f1.8 though, awesome lens but I've been having trouble tracking one down at the price I want.

The ones you have are fine (I have a few of the same) but the one that the OP listed is considerably slower than those. Even at the minimum he can do much better.
