Canon C700

Two models, one with global shutter, one with lots of DR. The DR one can come with EF or PL mount, the GS one only in PL mount.
 
In this price range, Amira is the camera. Canon continues, at least at the higher end, to not provide enough flexibility and advanced technology in their cameras.
 
I was wondering what the DR will be for the global shutter version as even the mighty Canon might have a difficult time with this one, and the official site says:

"The EOS C700 GS PL features 14 stops of dynamic range and does not offer Dual Pixel CMOS AF."

Impressive, but I feel like it's just a bit high on paper.

The RS version mentions 15 stops, which is more believable.

Good point, a bit like (on the lower end...) the URSA Mini 4K vs URSA Mini 4.6K? Do you want global shutter or DR? They won't let you have both!! Seems any global shutter design suffers from reducer DR :-/
